&lt;p&gt;For many years, she was in a relationship with fellow performance artist, Ulay Laysiepen. In 1988, they decided to end their relationship by each of them walking from one end of the Great Wall of China, a total of 2,500km, and meeting in the middle, wherein they embraced each other and said goodbye.&lt;/p&gt;
